That way if you need to contact them again you have all the info in front of you like "Beth in customer service said that my iPod would be replaced etc."<BR/><BR/>Sometimes during the first "round" they give you the standard line "no we don't give refunds on shoes" but when you ask to talk to the store manager and you explain how you've been spending a couple hundred dollars there each month and you are a faithful customer blah, blah, blah" they will probably do it.
