Happy Mother's Day

My mom is an amazing woman. And yea I know, I know.... everybody says that. But truly, my mom is one of the most amazing, selfless, thoughtful, smart, insightful people I know. She has taught me how to look at people from their position, to think of others, and how to answer a phone so calmly when it rings - even when I am in the middle of yelling at kids :)

She is always the last one to sit down at dinner because she is always making sure everything is taken care of for everyone, explains every present she buys for you to make sure you know how special it is for you, and always listens to every 'the world it coming to an end' melt down I have.


She is an amazing cook, artist, wife, seamstress, and panini maker. She had wonderful activities for us whether is was making funny hand puppets, finger painting with pudding, or even boiling warm water for us so we could have some kind of warm water in our kiddie-pools since Alaska is just a large ice cube.



Mom, I love you so much. You are everything a woman should be and I hope that I am becoming more like you everyday. You set such an example for all of us and we are all so proud of you and dad! I miss you so much since you are soooo very far away, but also glad that you are there enjoying your self and doing the work that you are! I hope you are able to read this on this Mother's Day.... even though it is probably Monday by the time to get to this. If you were here I would have a pile of pear & Dr. Pepper jelly bellies for you, Necos, and some beautiful daffodils! I love you and miss you! Happy Mother's Day!
