Walking Wings

.
I have a new piece of eye candy! And no, it isn't a man, it is a baby walker! It's a harness made to help babies learn to walk without having to have their hands held and I have been wanting it. With this walker, parents can support and hold their kid's without giving them the wrong balance and putting the all that stress on the arms.

It is called Walking Wings and it looks heavenly. It has a padded harness that goes around your kids chest. There are straps and handles in the back that the parent holds to help keep the kid up and balanced. It is great because you don't have to bend over anymore to help walk your baby; plus it is better on their little arms. I know I have almost hurt our sweet Lucy by holding her arms, especially when she looses her balance.

The Walking Wings aren't suppose to make your child walk completely correct, but to help your child walk more naturally and safely. The risk of arms being pulled out of their socket is slim to none when using the harness. Plus, I think it looks dang cute with your kid walking and waddling their cute way around.

These Walking Wings seem to be intended for all children, but they especially seem to help children who have no interest in walking, having a hard time with walking, preemie babies with difficulties, and even with some that have physical therapy needs. So, if your child is physically having a more difficult time with taking step, this might be an option.

So check out their website that has all their information on the Walking Wings and see for your self.

  1. That looks great. HOWEVER, keep them on their butt as long as possible. Once they walk it's a whole new ballgame. I just keep moving things higher and higher out of reach. No hurry. Both of mine walked at 11 months, because God is mean like that.

  5. yea, I am super excited for her to walk and crawl, but then I realized how our whole house is going to have to raise about 2 feet up! :)
But still I am getting so excited. I just keep picturing her outside in the yard playing and walking around with me. It will be so fun:)

  7. I feel agrieved! You can't miss out that vital part of parenting - the breaking back. Why oh why wasn't that around when my two children were making me bend in half to move around?
In fact, if they do one in adult size it could come in handy for hubby - he's having a hard time handling his drink at the moment . . .

  10. This sounds like a great idea. Do they have one to help in learning to ride a bike? Just checking cause you know that can't be far behind.

  13. What a coincidence! I Just bought those SAME walking wings today! I can't wait to try them out with Sumo tomorrow . . he weighs 30 lbs so holding his hands to help him walk? I always feel like I'm ripping his arms out of the socket.

  14. Oh, I've heard of those! But I'm with Janet: having them mobile is not as wonderful as it is cracked up to be. Eli figured out how to really crawl this week (while Jim was gone! ;( ) and and suddenly I have to watch him EVERY SECOND. Addy was never into everything the way he already is. Such a boy!

  15. I saw those recently. I was totally bummed they weren't available when my daughter was younger. Then again, I wish she had not been so mobile so soon! There's no turning back ;)

  19. I am going to look into these for the near future. I think I have seen them in a few stores. My little girl just jumps when i try "walking" with her. Do they make ones that help them learn to crawl?? Kidding. But not really. My girl has made no attempt at crawling yet. Always something to worry about as a mom!

  23. Very neat. I like that I wouldn't have to bend over as much. Though I would worry about the baby tipping to the side. =)

  24. Hey that's cool - a real back saver. I'm fine with Wyatt delaying his walking though, he's wild enough on hands and knees.

  25. I SOOO need this! My girls are kind of late walkers and don't walk until about 17 1/2 months of age! So my daughter is 16 months right now and this would be perfect!
