Love and Marriage

I feel like my marriage is really good. Curtis and I are on the same page about most issues, we have a lot of the same goals , and we just understand each other. We really get along great. But that still doesn't mean that we don't learn things about each other. So in these last few days of us packing up our lives and moving them to Alaska I have learned something new that I have added to my list of...

"Your Marriage Can Last Through Anything If..."
1. You can survive planning a wedding
2. You can survive being pregnant
and the newest
3. You can survive moving
Happy Valentines!

  2. Happy Valentines Day!

I agree about the moving part....Peter and I moved from Denmark just a couple of months before I had Emma and didn't get on each other's nerves. :-)

  3. Happy Valentine's Day .. is today Lucy's 1st Valentine's Day? Why, if I may be so nosy, are you moving to Alaska .. and which part of Alaska?

  4. Agreed! the furst few weeks after colton was born were the hardest for me!

  5. I, too, agree: moving is HARD and if you can survive that, you can survive anything. My husband and I have so far survived two big cross-country moves in our short marriage - one of which was with a colicky newborn. After accomplishing THAT, I felt like I could do ANYTHING. Good luck with the packing -- that is, I think, the most bothersome thing about moving.

Moving is hard especially to another state. We've done it twice now, but it can be a great adventure also. Good luck.

  14. Well being a military family I know all about moving, we just moved to this base 8 months ago and next week we're having to pack up and move YET again to another house because they're tearing these down.

You're right, if you can survive moving you can survive anything :)

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  23. i swore the next time i move, i will hire movers... i doubt that'll happen! good luck with that & hopefully it'll be over quicker than you think.

ps - i was reading your book list and saw Maniac Magee – by Jerry Spinelli - THIS WAS MY FAVORITE BOOK as a kid. I remember reading it over and over and over.... seeing the name of the book AND the picture of the book brought me way back!

  24. Hi thanks for stopping by today! Moving would be the deal breaker for me (hopefully not). I guess because I have really never moved much but my husband has since he has been in the military for 19 years.

  25. no wait -- i lie, my favorite book was the same one as yours:

Sideways Stories from Wayside School - by Louis Sachar. (My personal favorite)

This was the one I read over and over again... haha

  26. We moved countries 3 weeks after getting married. If you can survive a major move you can survive anything!

  27. Moving is a real test. The trick is to be organised in order to avoid stress!

  28. Wow! I love your blog! Thanks for stopping by mine. Happy Valentine's Day!

My husband and I vote that enduring health problems is far more trying than moving. We've moved 12 times in 15 years and I had moved 34 times before we got married--moving is a snap when you've done it that much. I don't know if I am going to live to see his back completely repaired. (He's headed for spine surgery #4)
