Wood Wall Letters For Your Kids Room

I love the wooden letter look in nurseries and kids room. I think it looks just ohhh sooooo cute and savvy. So, since I didn't want to drop 30 bucks at Babies R Us for some hinky dinky letters ... I made my own. They were really simple and easy, plus I loved how I could adjust them to look perfect in my little Lucy's room.

All you need is...

Wood Letters of what ever you are spelling (kids name/families last name/favorite sport/theme/ verbs like Dream, Dance, Wish)
Paint
What ever items you wish to have on the letters (I did star fishes)
Double Sided Tape

I just simply painted the letters and then hot glued the star fish on, to help them match Lucy's tropical room theme. I then placed double sided tape on the letters and BAM stuck it on the wall....real rocket science. :)

If you like them simple that will work great for you. But if you are wanting a little more pizazz with your letters; then instead of using double sided tape find a really cute ribbon. Tie a bow and make sure you have left enough space on each end to either staple or glue the ribbon to the back of the letter, then hang them with a nail or anything you might think will work.

Okay...now get this.....there is another option. Sorry, hope I am not over whelming you out there, but if you are a real challenge seeker, you can even bump it up another notch! Find a cute wooden frame or frame box and place some matching scrap booking paper as a back ground lining. Then glue your letter in the middle, take some ribbon and attach it to the top...this is probably my favorite look. If you can't find a wooden frame box you can either glue the letter on a circle plaque or paint the letters right on the plaque, but painting the letters directly on may take a real steady hand and you will probably need a stencil.
...

I was able to get all the items at Michaels. The wood letters can cost anywhere from .50 cents to $4 bucks each, depends on finish and size. You can get some frames or boxes for .99 cents to a few bucks. The square or circle plaques are usually around $2-4 each. So get your creative minds thinking and try one, or several, of these ideas.

Movie Ratings For Kids

When it comes to what Curtis and I watch on TV or in the movies, we have guidelines. Not just for our selves, but for our children as well. Okay, so we only have 1 kid and she is only 6 months, but we are planning our rules and guidelines for all those future kids. We do this because I feel pretty strongly about movie ratings. I believe that if Hollywood can actually stand up and say that they feel no one under 13 should see that movie, then we probably shouldn't. I don't know about you, but I don't think Hollywood usually sends the best messages and standards, so if they have set a bar then I think that I should at least follow their standards.

But their is still problems with Hollywoods ratings because certain kids are more mature or certain movies really aren't rated fairly. Like "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" it is rated PG-13, but still written for younger children. Would I let my kids under 13 see it, probably, because it is PG-13 for adult concepts such as fighting for your life and witchcraft type fighting scenes, not nudity and swearing. The movie doesn't have any sex, drug use, or horrible language.

It is hard for parents to decide what a child should see when the movie industry can lump movies like, "Harry Potter", "Austin Powers", and "I Am Ledgand" all into the same catergory. Austin Powers has sexual jokes and contant filled throughout the movie, but then I Am Ledgend would give some children nightmares. So, Hollywood has set their standards and yet, they are still sometimes off. So how does a parent help keep their children away from seeing filth, but at the same time letting your little angels (sometimes devils) enjoy movies and slowly start letting them see movies more age appropriate? Well, I have an awnser for you...... http://www.kids-in-mind.com/.

Curtis and I love this website. It is completely free and allows adults to go online and see why each movie was given its rating. It break everything down into three main standards; sex & nudity, violence & gore, and profanity. An individual can sit down and see exactly how many swear words, which ones even mild words like idiot. What kind of nudity, everything from cleavage in a low cut shirt to how graphic a love scene. Every movie is profiled by these categories with a scale of 1-10 and a written explanation in detail. At the bottom of the movie page, they have even posted a summary of the message behind the movie and what you can learn from it.

We have even used this website for ourselves many times to help us avoid some of the movies that we might not want to see. So, if you are a parent, wife, husband or even just an individual that has been wanting to be more informed about what you and your family is viewing, simple go to Kids In Mind and check out the flick for your self.

Lasagna Rolls

I have discovered a new tasty recipe for my family; Lasagna Rolls. They are pretty yummy and not hard to make. They are not the quickest things to make, but definitely stress free when it comes to the shopping and making of them.
.
All you need is...
.
1 Package of lasagna noodles
2 Cups mozzarella
1 (15 ounce) Ricotta Cheese
1 (8-10 ounces) thawed and chopped spinach
1 (28 ounce) Pasta Sauce Jar
1 TBS Oregano
1 1/2 tsp Basil
Salt & Pepper
1/2 small onion

1. Cook noodles till they are almost done, then drain and set aside

2. In large bowl mix together mozzarella cheese, ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, onions, oregano, basil, some salt and pepper (salt & pep to your taste)

3. Lay out noodle flat and spread a thin layer of cheese mixture evenly. Then spread a thin layer of pasta sauce. Roll noodle up and place in pan (9x13), seem down.
.
4. When all noodles are rolled in pan, sprinkle salt over the bare noodles. Then top the remaining pasta sauce over the noodles. If you have any cheese mixture left over, plop a little dab on each noodle. I always like to sprinkle any left over mozzarella cheese too.
.
5. Bake in oven at 350* for 30 mins or until hot an bubbly.
.
.
P.S. I didn't have 2 cups of mozzarella when I made this. I only had about 1 cup, but it still tasted great! It was only my husband and I who ate this, but it seems to feed 6 people pretty good, especially if you have a salad or bread with dinner.

The Joys of Motherhood

"Dang it....Curtis left his Easter chocolates laying around, again."
I start picking up wrappers and gathering the basket. I move on from the basket and treats to start gathering toys and baby clothes.

"DANG IT!" Now, I am noticing that there are stupid chocolate stains on Lucy's stuff. Great now I get to do another load today. "Hum....maybe I can be 'slacker mom of the year' and simply pick the chocolate off and not have to wash it?"

Oh.....whats this?

Definitely NOT chocolate!!!!

My Husband's Other Side

I love my husband, he is an amazing man, has a big heart, and truly one of the best people I know. He is always there for me, constantly helping out with our daughter, and never fails to listen and talk with me. We really are made for each other and I couldn't imagine being happier with anyone else, BUT once in a while something happens that makes me raise an eye brow.... like when Curtis helps me pick out an outfit and it actually looks pretty good or helps me fix my hair and sometimes has the greatest cooking tips. What can I say... I feel like I gained a best girlfriend just as much as a great husband!

Over the time we have known each other I have teased Curtis about this and the other day I was joking about doing a Thursday Thirteen about his more... ummm feminine traits. He then proceeded to tell me that there wouldn't be enough. So as a joke we sat down and unfortunately ,for him, we both were able to come up with MORE than 13. So without further notice....

13 Reasons Why I'm Surprised My Husband Isn't Gay

Les Miserables
When we got married and combined our CD's, for some reason we had three, seriously THREE, copies of Les Miserables. I turned to my new honey and asked, "Why do we have three copies of this? Should we get ride of two?" My husband's face looked shocked, "What...no. My two version are different casts and have some different versions. And I don't want to just listen to yours because your version will have another cast that I am not use to....and it won't be as much fun to sing with". So, because of my husband's reasoning, we have three different arrangements of Les Mis.

Pride & Prejudice
The other day we were trying to pick a movie to watch and Curtis suggests "Pride & Prejudice" and I mean the A&E 6 hour version! I get excited and stunned. He sees the look of surprise on my face and says, "What? I wanna see what the big fuss is about this Mr. Darcy." He got so sucked in, we ended up watch the whole 6 hours in two nights. The last night we were up till 1 AM trying to finish it. Now he walks around the house spouting old english sayings, "Capital Capital" "May I have a word?" "I do protess, sir!" He cracks himself up.

Dance Classes
Curtis loves to learn new things and is fascinated by almost everything and I love that about him. But I think I have one of the very few husbands that thought it would be "cool" to learn dancing and I mean ballroom, salsa, tango... you name it, he would want to learn it.

Cheesy Chick Flicks
When it comes to chick flicks I am not realy a fan. I like some, but as a whole I can find most of them irritating. I get upset with Reese Witherspoon in "Sweet Home Alabama", Meg Ryan with "You Got Mail", Eva Mendez in "Hitch". Please don't hate me, but I just don't really like them. But when it comes to the cheesy tongue and cheek ones... those REALLY don't flip my switch. But here we are at Blockbuster trying to rent a movie and we come across "Sydney White" an Amanda Bynes teenie bopper flick and Curtis is asking if we can rent it. I chuckled thinking he was kidding, than after realizing he was being seriouse, we walk out with "Sydney White". But on a side note we both actually kind of liked it :)

Tea Parties
My mom has a really cool tea pot. It is real china and has that typical cute flower pattern that 80 year old grandmas have. Curtis and I both love drinking tea and he got excited when I showed it to him. He gets a grand idea of having a tea party upstairs! We got the tea ready, grabbed some cups, and snuggled upstairs with our nice warm tea pot and cute little cups. And of course since we were drinking tea and Curtis and just discovered his love for Pride & Prejudice, he suggests another Jane Austin movie. So we sipped tea, cuddled, and watch Sense and Sensibility. Not too shabby of an evening, if only the guys at work could have seen him.

Dress Up Doll
When Curtis was younger, apparently all of his sister's dolls weren't to her liking, so Curtis would volunteer! I learned that his sister would get him to play dress-up with her clothes and then go find his dad and say, "We'e the boys! Right dad!". I'm sure it was a proud father-son (daughter?) moment for him.

Shoes Shoes SHOES
Curtis has more shoes that I do! NO JOKE! He has shoes for all occasions and situations. Plus, he cannot get rid of any of them. I can guarantee that any time we move we will be having a "discussion" over his shoes. I try to get him to let go of some, but he likes them all too much and swears that he has his reasons, "Those are my working boots; I've had those since high school; those are my NICE soccer shoes, but I still need my crappy pair too!" I swear he sees his shoes just as much as his soul mate as me.....but get it? Shoes....soul mate! Oh yea! I am on a role :)

Michael's Craft Store
My husband hates to go here or to any other craft store to be more specific, (so there is something to show his manly side) but when I do get him to go with me he knows where everything is. Curtis's mom loves craft stores too, so he was dragged to them a lot when he was younger, which I think is why he is scarred with hatred for them. But he is amazing, I always get lost and have a hard time finding the row that I need, but not Curtis. He is like a blood hound in those stores and can sniff out whatever it is that I need. Unfortunately that power is a blessing and a curse...blessing for me, curse for him.

Cooking Questions
I don't know how, but Curtis has every cooking answer that I could possible want. There has been so many moments of cooking illiteracy in my life and Curtis has fixed practically everyone. I have been in the kitchen cursing at my odd looking cookies, that I wouldn't even give to a dog, and he can just glace at them as say, "Oh, you might not have put in enough flour". Then unfortunately at that moment I may either want to smack him or give him a big kiss of thanks! Depends on my mood. :)
.
.
Manicures & Pedicures
I was looking down at my nails the other night and was saying how much I missed getting my nails done and how nice pedicures and manies were. I even offered to Curtis that if he wanted I would give him one just to prove how good they are. He declined, but then offered that if I really missed them that he would give one to me. I got all gushy and then wondered, "Do you even know what to do with a pedicure?". But he explains to me, "Oh yea, my mom had me do her nails all the time, when I was younger." And wel... yea....I don't think I need to explain that one any more. :)

His Singing Ability
Just open this link in a new window and watch Curtis from this past Christmas. It will explain itself. Trust me you wont regret it!

.
.
Hairspray
We had just gone and seen the movie "Hairspray", which we loved, and Curtis came out of the theater singing and a' bopping away to "I Can Hear The Bells" and other songs. We finally got the soundtrack, and what did he do? He SNAGGED it from me and stashed it in his car so he could listen to it on his way to work. So, I am out on a walk, a few days later, just enjoying the nice weather and I hear this music blasting. I turn around and see a car. Not just A car, but a Kia. Huh.....we have a Kia. Oh....and it is even a silver Kia....that looks a lot like our car. And then I see it.....My husband...the apple of my eye, driving by with the windows down, blasting the song and singing at the top on his lungs, "GOOD MORNING BAAAAAALTIMOOOOORE!".

Even though I am teasing him, Curtis is an amazing man and I am lucky to have his love. And even with this whole post teasing my lovely husband, all he asks is that at some point I post "13 Reasons Why My Husband Is So Manly!" Grrrrr! Don't worry hun. that will be an easy one! But I just have to say that I am lucky to have a wonderful husband that has tea parties, watches Jane Austin movies , singing to musicals, and want to go to the theater. Curtis I love you!

Under Pressure - Works For Me Wed

Works For Me Wednesday

Ever since having my daughter I have definitely become more domesticated. I don't mean to say that I am bare foot and prego in the kitchen, but I have definitely been trying to use my "stay-at-home" time more valuable than sitting around watching all the seasons of "The Office". One of the biggest things I have been working on lately is my baking skills. What can I say? I am tired of baking crap in my oven. I think I am the only person on this Earth that has messed up No Bake Cookies. Seriously....I can be that bad sometimes. I guess I have better skills for eating cookies than making them. So, as you can see, I need some help.

That is where the Cookie Press comes into play. I have this beautiful contraption that looks like a caulking gun that allows you to simply place the dough into the holder, choose a pattern, squeeze the handle, and VOILA! You have your self a delectable, eatable, succulent cookie! They come out nice and easy. I especially love the smaller dainty size that they come out as. It is great because instead of eating some giant chocolate chipper you are nibbling on a cute little treat. But the down side is, that you can easily justify eating 20 because they are a smaller tasty little treat.

The Cookie Press comes with several different patterns that you screw easily onto the front. You can have anything from a butterfly cookie to a Christmas tree cookie to simple patterns or flowers. They taste great as a the plain ol' cookie or I like to dip them in chocolate to give them a nice addition of flavor and color.

The press isn't just for cookies. You can also double it as a frosting applicator. The press comes with a head and several different nozzles that can help give cookies, cakes, or truffles a nice pattern. I have used it several times for frosting and it does fairly good. The best suggest that I can give you though, is that you really need to use the Cookie Press with a silicon baking sheet. It does the best job for grabbing hold of the dough when you are trying to get it to stick to the pan.

.
So happy baking to you all out there and have fun with this new little toy. You can find them many places from Target to Bed Bath and Beyond, many for around $20; so start pressing away! :)

The Power of Change

For all you avid readers out there, you might remember my formula can ideas; more specifically- the Date Night Can (You place change from around the house in it and use the extra money to upgrade a good date night to a GREAT date night!). I gave the idea for it, but here is a post of how I made it and suggests to help you all make a fun date bank. All you need is...

- Scrap booking Paper - best to get at least two colors, one with a pattern and one solid
- Ribbon
- Letters - either stickers, blocks, stamps, foam, chip board
- Decorative items - photos, buttons, scrap booking decorations
- Paint & Brush
- Glue Gun

Get your scissors or razor and neatly cut the formula label from the can. Use the original label to help you measure your scrap booking paper. Get your glue gun heated up and glue the paper onto the tin. Now you can glue your ribbon over the edges to hide them.

Now take your letters and spell out "Date Night", "Date Tin", your last name, or basically anything else you want and glue it on. Now you are able to see where your free space is for your extra decorations. I went to the photo album section of Michael's and bought some of their cute 3-D mini items for your scrap booking pages. A package that had movie tickets and a cute popcorn tub.

And last, but not least, paint your lid. Get some acrylic paint and put one thin coat on the lid. Let the first coat dry completely or else the second coat will peel up the first layer. So make sure to let is COMPLETELY dry, it is hard because painting is a favorite of mine and I was too impatient and kept peeling up the last coat....yea....it got a little frustrating!

So start gathering that loose change from around the house and start filling up your can! Soon you will be able to really have a nice date night. With enough money to get candy at the movies, pay to have the babysitter stay later, get some desserts or whatever else you could think of! So make those cans and enjoy those date nights!

They Call It Mexican Food NOT Mexican't Food

This Slow Cooker Enchilada dish was a tasty new recipe that I tried for the first time this week and was really happy with it. I'll go ahead and post what the recipe says to do, but afterwards make my suggestions of what I am going to do the next time I make it.
Slow Cooker Enchiladas

1 lbs. lean ground beef
10 (6 inch) corn tortillas, quartered
1 (1.5 ounce) taco seasoning mix
1 1/4 cups water
1 (12 ounce) jar chunky salsa
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
4 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend (I used only 2 cups or so)

1. Cook beef, then add taco seasoning and water
2. In bowl, stir together salsa, cream of mushroom soup & cream of chicken soup. Mix in most of the cheese, reserving some for top.
3. Place a layer of tortillas on the bottom of a slow cooker. Scoop a layer of the ground beef over that, and then a layer of cheese/soup mixture. Repeat the layers until you run out of stuff, ending with a layer of tortillas on the top. Top with remaining cheese.
4. Cover and cook for 45 mins - 1 hour.

We both really enjoyed it, we thought that it would have been better with 3 tortilla layers and substitute in some rice layers. We also wanted to throw in some onions and canned mushrooms. But again, we just made it with what they asked and it was pretty good still and so were the left overs. I suggest make it once, but definitely not as many corn tortillas as they ask, then add to what you think will taste better.

Barking Mad

Just a normal everyday afternoon until the phone rings,
.
I pick up..."Hello?"
.
A voice states, "I have your dog."
.
It takes me a second to register the information, "Excuse me, what?"
.
"I have your dog." The person on the other end is now sounding more forceful and irritated.
.
Okay, so I did hear her right, "Um, we don't have a dog."
.
She retaliates snotty with, "Then how did I get this number?"
.
Okay she's got me there, but if I could answer that question then I could probably also tell her what medication she should probably be taking. I try to not sound annoyed by her rudeness at this point, "Well, we use to have a dog, but unfortunately he is no longer with us. So it couldn't be ours."
.
"Is his name Ziggy?"
.
I was stunned....."What!?"
.
"Well, his tags say his name is Ziggy and your number is listed on his tags. Like I said, where would I have gotten this number."
.
I am truly shocked and CONFUSED at this point now because that was our dog's name and not a common name. I am really starting to get confused, but my heart still jumped up, Ziggy....how could this be? I would love to see him again, could it really be him, we have missed him sooo much, but it can't be! I tried to calm my self down and get a hold of the situation...
.
"Wait....this can't be. Okay...lets just go over this again. Our family HAD a dog and his name was Ziggy, but this can't be him. I mean....is the dog you have a Mini Dachshund?"
.
"Ohhhhhhhh no, the dog I found is a Border Collie. Oh, what are the chances? Ha ha, your phone number, your dog's name, but not your dog! Okay, well sorry to bother you, I guess I will try contacting the vet."
.
.
I just hung up the phone and looked at it, seriously, what are the chances!? Same phone number, and same name, which again isn't common. In the end it was amusing, but still a little sad being reminded of our Ziggy and as silly as it was, I got my hopes up that it was him. Well, at least it was fun to think maybe and go through old videos! Hope this one cracks you all up as much as it does us :)

Guilty Pleasures

Everyone is different in their own ways. We all have things that we like and others that we don't. But yet we all have things that people laugh at us for liking, raising their eyebrows, or even "ewwwws". So, hopefully to make us all feel a little more normal, here is my list of 13 things I love, 13 guilty pleasures :) (Please don't judge that most of the itms are food related, what can I say...I like food)

Top Ramen - A fine delicacy, I know, but still I can't seem to resist those amazing noodles and seasoning. Seriously, I practically have an addiction to this Eastern wonder. I actually don't buy it anymore because I will eat it too much. So I will only buy a package here and there and will also only limit myself that I can only eat it when my husband wants its too. Pathetic, I know, I have to set rules for my Top Ramen.

Velveeta Cheese - Ummm, nothing like fake artificial cheese to really make a meal. I don't know why I like it, even the idea of Velveeta cheese is kind of gross, but I still can't seem to resist its call to me. I love Velveeta cheese fondue, chili & Velveeta dip, and Velveeta mac & cheese. Seriously, if you haven't tried taking a can of chili and then melting some Velveeta in it, oh you haven't lived.

Calamari - I don't like seafood or I should say I hate seafood; I don't even like to have the smell of it in my house. But calamari apparently is a loop hole in my dislike of seafood. Come on, SQUID, how did I find that delicious and yet fresh Alaskan salmon nauseating? I wish I liked fish, it is healthy, easy to find, heck even cheap for us now that we are back in Alaska. Yet the one loop hole to the sea food dislike is squid and not even health fresh squid, but it has to be FRIED. Way to be healthy!

Bite Size Candies - Oh wow a girl who likes chocolate....a shocker, but no I don't really like chocolate. I don't like candy bars, but I dooooo like bite size candies. There is a difference! Believe me! If you handed me a Snickers, I would probably bring it home put it down and forget about it. And if I actually did eat it, I would probably make it to about the "ick" part in Snickers and leave it "ers" part for my hubby. So bite size snickers, dots, truffles....they are all good. I could eat my weight in any of them. I just have a weird obsession with getting as many bites out of something small. I think I am the only person who can make a bites size snicker into a 4 bites meal.
.
.
Chef Boyardee - Please don't shutter when you read what I write next, but ohhhhh Chef Boyardee...the sweet nectar of life. Give me a canned of raviolis and color me happy, I will be having my self a good afternoon. If you put in front of me a beautiful deli made sandwich with all the good toppings and a deli pickle even on the side and then a can of Mini Raviolis....I would probably choose the raviolis and not look back.

Tom Selleck - Okay I know he isn't a food, but he still is yummy. I am not the kind of girl that can just simply look at a guy and think "ohhhh he is sooo hot". I'm not really like that. I don't really find movie stars good looking either....like Jude Law....uhh....ewww. Matt Damon, he is a little funny looking, but seems sweet. But Tom Selleck....he can make me griiiin :) I don't know who could pass up Brad Pitt for Selleck, but I could. Tom Selleck is just an all American man and that to me is hot. I have always been just a tad bit embarrassed of liking him, my friends have all made fun of me when I get dreamy eyed when I watch "Quigley Down Under". What? A man 40 years older than you isn't something you think is hot....WEIRD!

Cadburry Creme Eggs - This is what I look forward to the most around Easter time. As soon as the spring time decorations come out I start looking out for those eggs. You would think the idea of eating a fake raw egg would be sickening, but no..... it is delicious.

Pie Filling - Oh I love love love pie filling. It can go on anything to make it oerfectly heavenly. Pie filling goes on waffles, ice cream, German pancakes, Tom Selle....oh um...never mind.

.
Canned Mushrooms - What can I say about the perfect snack? If I am wandering through the kitchen and can't find something that I want, there is always my faithful can of mushrooms waiting for me. I love popping open a can, pulling out some chop sticks and going to town! I love how they taste sooo good (contrary to what my husband says), how I feel good because I am eating a "vegetable", and how low in calories they are. To me mushrooms = the perfect snack

Gossip Magazines - InTouch, Us Weekly, People! I love them all. It is hard for me to go grocery shopping and be waiting at the check out lane and NOT be curious about how Tom Cruise is keeping Katie trapped in their marriage or how IS Jennifer Aniston feeling about Angelina having another baby? Seriously ....who can resist? I just make my self feel better about getting the gossip magazine by then buying Newsweek, it is my way of keeping the universe balanced. So, you're welcome.

Ranch - It is our families version of ketcup. Curtis and I both put it on everything. We keep the ranch bottle out on the table more than the salt & pepper. Everything from meatloaf to quesadillas, to casseroles..... better with ranch. If you want a great mixture try mixing salsa and ranch....yummy in wraps and good with chips.

Fiji Water - I am not a water bottle person, please....I grew up in Alaska, our water tastes like liquid gold (that is suppose to mean good) and comes out ice cold....so I have never had a need for bottled water. But Fiji water comes in the coolest square bottles. Yep....that is it.....square bottles. That is why I like them. Silly. I know, but there you have it. I will get one, drink it, and reuse the bottle over and over again. What can I say....I am easily amused.

Hairspray - Yes, yes I use hairspray. And I'm not talking about spritz spritz, there I'm done. I mean I love hairspray.....80's STYLE! I have a sort hair cut and I like to flip it out and make it look funky and a little spiky...but when you have thin fine hair, it is kind of hard to style it. So what do I do? I add more lighter fluid to my hair then I would a BBQ. My husband likes to be warned when I am finished with my hair and need the final coating....he will then leave the bathroom. Sorry o-zone....I thinks it is all my fault.

Mr. Clean vs. Brawny Man

When it comes to men in my life, there are not too many I hold dear to me. There is my loving and wonderful husband Curtis, Tom Selleck (hey a girl can dream), Ben & Jerry, and ......MR.CLEAN! Move over Brawny Man...there is a new guy in town.

I have been in love with those Magic Erasers that Mr. Clean has been making for a while now. My husband actually might be jealous of all the attention they get! They are the most amazing cleaning tool that any mom...well...any person can have.

They are a simple white foam sponge-like square that practically gets anything up. It cleans walls, takes up marker...and I mean permanent marker, tiles in the bathroom, and my favorite....glass top stoves. I love glass top stoves, but when you spill and burn something on it, it is going to be there for a whiiiiiiiile. Hope you love the smell of burnt eggs when you are making Mac n' Cheese. But these Magic Erasers will almost get anything clean, all you need is good ol' fashion elbow grease.

My favorite thing I love about them is the fact that I don't need any chemicals to use them either. Especially when my daughter is wanting to be with me, I don't have to keep her away so she can't get high on 409! I don't need a strung out 5 month old having hallucinations and freakin' me out.

They cost about 3 bucks a box and you get two sponges for each box. They can last a little while, but you might go through them fast like I do, but I use them for everything. So, if you are having a hard time cleaning your walls, counter tops, stoves, tiles, even a bar of soap....it will get it clean or cleaner!
.
.
.
While definently he doesn't have the cleaning power of Mr. Clean....he isn't hard on the eyes either :)
