Taco Soup

Time for another great easy recipe. Here is a favorite of my husband, who is not only a fan of soup, but also chips and salsa.....ready for it? Have an idea? Can you handle it? Well, here it is.........

It is a great simple recipe and easy because you cook it in the crock pot, which I always love! So all you need to this tasty morsel is...

1 onion chopped
1 (16 ounce) can of chili
1 (15 ounce) can black beans, drained
1 (15 ounce) can whole kernels corn, drained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
2 (10 ounce) cans of diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning
1 lb. ground beef or turkey cooked
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Sour Cream
Tortilla Chips

1. In skillet cook ground beef or turkey
2. Place the onion, beans, corn, tomato sauce, dived tomatoes, and beef in a slow cooker.
3. Add taco seasoning and stir to blend
4. Cook in slow cooker on High for 3 hours (you really can do it in an hour and half if needed, just make sure to stir it here and there)
5. Serve topped with sour cream, cheese, and chips.

  1. I have a recipe that is a,most the same and it is so good!

  2. I love easy! Lady, you are making me even fatter ;)

  3. Looks very yummy! I love using my crock pot.

  4. Ok, I love how easy this looks! I'm going to try this one tonight!

  5. Wow...I think that Toddler would fight us for this one. I will be making this one tonight.

And that crock pot...it is like the most amazing invention since coffee!! If only it could slice and dice too!!

  6. Sounds delicious, but doing the UK thing, what is a crock pot??!

  7. You had me at "slow cooker"....my all-time greatest love of a kitchen appliance ever.

    Can't wait to try it!

  8. This sounds great! I will try it!

  16. This soup sounds delicious! Is it wrong to want to eat a big bowl of it at 9:00 am?

  17. I'm going to try this...I might skip the canned chili though...I can't do canned chili, for some reason I just can't do it.

  25. I make something very similar to this! We love it! We use Fritos (generic) because they don't seem to get soggy as fast as regular tortilla chips.
