Terrible Twos

Oh Lucy, Lucy, Lucy.... I remember those good ol' days when you used to simply sit and play with your plastic keys, look through your books, and keep your self entertained with your toes..... and then...... THE TERRIBLE TWOS HAPPENED! Whoever thinks that phase actually starts when they're two is wrong..... sooo soooo wrong. .

And to prove it, here is a list of things I have had to deal with in the last few days....
1. Stop throwing your food on the floor
2. NO! NO! Keep your hands out of the poopies!
3. Stop throwing pens in the toilet
4. Your fingers don't belong in your nose
5. Your fingers don't belong in my nose!
6. Please don't rub your tushy on the glass.
7. DON'T LICK THE OUTLET!
8. If you ever want a brother or sister please stop doing that
9. Don't use mommy's bra as a bag
10. Old diapers are not toys
11. Fruit does not belong in mommy's cleavage
12. again?????
and last but not least....
13. AHHHHHHHH WHERE IS YOUR FATHER!

  1. You are funny! Of course - it's funny because most of us Mom's remember all too well!

  7. Oh honey, bless you. The 2s are only a warmup for the 3s.
I'd let her keep her fingers in her nose - that way they're out of yours and out of her diaper. As to the rest, well, you'll get used to it. Oh, and the toilet locks are VERY easy to operate for grownups, unlike many of those childproofing devices.

  10. Ah yes, those were the good old days. My daughter went through this phase from about 15 months to about 28 months, it got worse before it got better and boy was I happy when it passed!

  12. I am so feelin' it right along with you. I have 3 under 6 and the youngest is turning 2. Agghhhh! Another to add: "We eat on the table not dance on it!"

I recommend the swing arm toilet lock. I think I got mine at Burlington Coat Factory. My little one only gets to look into the toilet when he waves "bye-bye" to his poo-poo party flushing to the fun! :-) Then the lock goes back on.

  13. Two's weren't too bad in our house....it was the three's!! LOL I've heard that it's the new 2! But with Aiden the two's and now the three's have been rough. Hang in there, it can be a rough period but it's also so much fun!
