Easy Good Recipes

I love finding new recipes, but unfortunately with me I may... by chance... go a little over board when I want to find new recipes. I will search the Internet, check out the library, look at countless blogs, and print off millions of pages at allrecipes. com. So... I'm here to help you, so you don't have to go crazy with all the searching... here are 13 of my favorite recipes. If you notice... a good chunk of them are from my sister's blog "Scribbit"... and that is because my sister has posted a bit of my favorite recipes that my mom makes... and trust me people... if my mom makes it ANNND Michelle makes it... then you know its gooood.

Dump Cake - Scribbit
This is a family classic; my mom use to make this all the time, very simple too... so you know I love THAT!
.
I am always getting requests from my husband for this soup and I understand why, because it is freakin' fabulous. I am not much of a soup person, but I do love this one. My good friend's mother-in-law introduced me to it and what can I say... I am eternally grateful :)

Cause all cheese bread is happy cheese bread :) This is basically a donut shaped roll with a block of melted cheese in the middle.... can you say yummy!?

Its a way to make you not feel so guilty about eating pizza and yet still soooo yummy. This has become a quick new favorite in our house.
.
Whenever I make this recipe I know my husband will be undoing the top button on his pants . I can always tell if he likes a recipe by how many buttons are left still buttoned.

Pad Thai - Scribbit
This is a serious recipe, but if you are up to it, it will pay off! I love Thai food and I can say that this is one of the best Pad Thai I have ever had, including restaurants. Michelle has even included and wonderful video to help guide you through part of it.

These can get a little messy to make with all the rolling, but they are totally worth it. Really yummy and actually not bad for you either. Plus I always feel like a fancy chef when I make these cause they just look so pretty :)

This salad has been coming to family functions for years now. One of my favorite salads out there. Just enough sweet, sour, and crunch.

Super tasty as a soup and super tasty as a dip... which ever you like. I am always a sucker for a good slow cooker recipe anyways so this one was easy to melt it way into my heart. Tasty, easy, and hardly any work.... my true looove :)

I feel almost guilty putting this recipe on this list, because it is too powerful. None can resist it and all of us who have tasted it, fear it. It is chocolaty, rich, whipped, and calorie-packed goodness. Really should only be made on special occasions cause it is too damaging to have around the house. So, be ye warned... this is seriously.... to die for. Try it and you will understand.

It is green, it is smooth, and it has avocados... odd mixture but one of the tastiest smoothies you will ever have. I use to make these at a Mexican restaurant that I worked in at college and apparently my sister has found the recipe. I completely forgot how to make these and am uber excited to have the recipe again. You will just have to trust me on this one. :)
.
Why shouldn't you love these? They are easy and they are enchiladas... what's NOT to love? So there you go, Easy + Echiladas = tasty goodness.

I have heard these called many things.. but mostly Congo Squares and Blondies, but everyone always agrees that they are delicious. These are a family favorite where grandma, mom , and now daughters make them. Try them out, they will be a family favorite of yours too.

So there you go, 13 new recipes for you to try that are guaranteed to taste great. If you are looking to find even more, go check out Scribbit's recipe section, she is always posting wonderfully mouth-watering meals. Michelle definitely got our mom's cooking skills.

  1. I've made that spinach rigatoni and it is AWESOME!

I am totally bookmarking this page in my recipes section on my favorites because I, too, tend to, umm, go a bit overboard when looking for easy recipes. Which takes the easy right out of the equation, by the way.

    KEEP BELIEVING

  2. Thank you so much for the recipes! I know you did it just for me, hee hee!

I am going to give these a try. I am in a cooking slump so I really needed this today! My son has been asking for soup for his lunches but it has not cooled down enough for me to even think about soup that is until today! Do you have any recommendations on a kids thermos to keep the soup warm through the day?

BTW- I didn't realize you were sisters with Scribbit. Funny, because I am huge fan of both blogs, go figure!

  9. I've been wanting to make that Happy Cheese Bread. Our version is basically the easy cheater variety: a package of Pillsbury Pop-n-fresh crescent rolls. Spray the pan, put half the roll dough on the bottom of the pan, cut up some brie and put over the dough, put the other half of the dough over the brie, pinch the edges, bake at whatever the temperature on the roll package says.
